What are my options for a DTV in Thailand if I'm too young for a retirement visa and don't qualify for the LTR?

I am getting disheartened by difficulties finding a medical centre which will agree to issue paperwork for a DTV, even if I agree to visit them in person. I'm too young for the retirement visa, and dont earn enough for the LTR.. Is the bronze elite worth it at all?

Or are there any other visa options I might have overlooked?
Answer summary
The user is struggling to obtain a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) due to difficulty finding a medical center to issue the necessary paperwork. They are too young for the retirement visa and do not meet income requirements for the Long-Term Resident visa (LTR). Comments suggest alternatives such as applying under the Workation option, pursuing a Muay Thai course, or seeking assistance from international hospitals. Some commenters mention visa agents who can facilitate DTV applications without strict documentation.

I came on a tourist visa and established care at a hospital. After I was a patient, they were willing to issue a letter to support my DTV application (I sent a draft to their admin as an example). I traveled out of Thailand to apply for my visa.

There is a immigration service on the street just outside of immigration that says we can help you with your DTV. Why don't you talk to them

Just contact any of the big international hospitals.

Once you have the DTV you can always change to a more economical hospital.

Also, clinics aren’t a big thing here. Most people go straight to a hospital.

Certain visa agents will 'facilitate' dtv applications where no proof of funds are required for the 500k bank balance. Costs under 2.5k usd. Border run every 90 days to avoid reporting scrutiny.

If you work remotely you shouldn't be applying for a DTV on medical grounds anyway. You need to apply using the Workation option. The Thai Privilege (Elite) visa doesn't allow you to legally work.

what?? Why wouldn’t he apply for medical DTV?

Ive been here for almost 2 years in medical DTV. If under legitimate treatment its the most secure DTV there is.

that is a completely false statement about the DTV.

John As far as I've seen, the publicly released DTV materials describe the categories as pathways to qualify for the visa. They do not explicitly state that a Medical DTV holder cannot also work remotely, or that a Muay Thai DTV holder cannot freelance for overseas clients.

@Chris *********
no. My argument is the same. You can't work in Thailand without explicit permission. In the case of the DTV that permission is supplied by applying under the Workation option where permission is granted by ministers. If you apply under soft power you get permission to be in Thailand for soft power activities, it does not provide permission to work (remotely or otherwise).

@Jo**
you've switched arguments.

Your original claim wasn't that remote work is "work". It was that anyone who works remotely must apply under the Workation category and cannot obtain a DTV through Medical, Muay Thai, Cooking, etc.

Where is the source for that specific claim?

A definition of work doesn't create a restriction between DTV categories.

I don't know how many times I've explained this. Go and look at the foreign workers decree. Look first at the definition of work then look at section 4 which lists exceptions particularly point 7

“work” means the use of physical strength or knowledge for engaging in an

occupation or a job with or without an intention to obtain wages or any other benefit, except the

work prescribed in the Notification of the Minister;

Again, show me your official government source that supports your claim.

ah OK, the word "earn" implied work. The Thai Privilege visa should be fine for you then, or else sign up for a soft power course under the DTV
