TLDR : Answer Summary
To change jobs while holding a teaching position in Thailand with a valid work permit, you need to coordinate closely with both your current and prospective employers, as well as the immigration office. Ensure you leave your current job on good terms to facilitate the process. It may also be necessary to clarify whether you are within the first 90 days of your visa or if you have already applied for an extension.

Are you on first 90days from visa itself or already on extension?

Yes I’ve been working for the last 2 school terms
not really. You sure can (and should) have workpermit when you are on first 90days.

Changing jobs inside Thailand requires extensive coordination between your existing employer, new employer, and the immigration office. Which immigration office are you using, and will you leave your existing job on good terms?
basically what you’ll do is to cancel your existing extension of stay based on employment with your current employer, and then, right after that, get a new one year extension of stay based on employment. I highly recommend talking to your Human Resources departments and immigration office to coordinate everything.
