I’ve spent hours trying to research and tried to call the UK Thai embassy multiple times- the phone just rings and rings for hours!

Travelling to Thailand Solo with my son- we have different surnames, I always carry his birth certificate and never had any issues. Would a consent letter from his father be sufficient or does this need to be notary stamped and legalised through the embassy?

Just a quick post about our experience bringing our 12 year old niece from Vietnam to Thailand. Something we've not done before - traveled with a child, and also not our own child. We got the Viet government form, which lists the Mother & Father, has my wife's information too. All notarized, which we had translated to English, and notarized. Checking into the Tan Son Nhat airport, the Viet Air desk, or Immigration, never checked anything but her passport. When we arrived at Suvarnabhumi, immigration never asked either. Must say I was a bit surprised, but happy.

Found out my minor son needs to leave the country due to a visa mix up (immigration made a mistake). Since he is a minor, I have to go with him. I have a Non O visa, and am unvaxinated. If we go to Laos or something, will I need to get new insurance to re-enter (since my visa is still valid) or will my son (since he will be getting a new visa)?

Hi, I am planning a trip to Thailand with my family, the kids (under 18) and wife (mother of kids) from the USA. As I was looking at the visa requirements for TR 60 Days (single entry). It says I need:

"Original letter of notarized consent for the minor to travel abroad from mother and father/ legal guardian"

Do I still need to provide this is both parents are travelling together?

Sorry- I posted in another Thailand group, but this looks like a place with visa advice as well. Thank you!

Can anyone tell me what the options are for me to bring my minor daughter with me when traveling on a non-immigrant B visa? Is there an option to get her a visa at the same time as mine or after mine is approved? She may be arriving a few weeks after me but will depart when I do. We are US citizens and will apply either at the Washington DC embassy or the New York City consulate. (I am still trying to determine if I may be required to use one particular one or if I can go to the one easiest for me to travel to.). I am a director and owner in a Thai company and my last business Visa was single entry issued in Hong Kong (only visa I've had though I have visited on tourist stamp before). I did take a weekend holiday to Vietnam shortly before leaving Thailand and had the proper re-entry permit. My daughter has 4 tourist visa entry stamps in her current passport. One for 2 weeks in 2017, one for 2 weeks in 2018 and two from 2019(30 days and then 5 days) - total number of days she's been in Thailand (lifetime) have been around 70- if any of that matters. She is 15 years old. Her previous visits were truly tourism although she did take a one month class in Thai language as well just "for fun". I worry more about her visa status than my own because she may be traveling alone (as she did without incident last summer). I don't want her to have any problems at immigration- she's a mature 15 and is well traveled but she's still only 15.
