Sorry if duplication crap online I'm an old veteran. I want to apply for DTV on medical grounds due to heart disease. Have been told I have to fly Bangkok for a doctor's appointment letter and fly back to apply for the visa? My plan is get the visa then visit hospitals for best cost and treatment. I have a family to stay with as I will come and go over a period of treatments. My second question is will a British home doctor letter outlining my condition be OK for the application. Thank you in advance, please no wise cracks as this is a genuine enquiry.

Has anyone received the DTV based on a medical reason?

I am having an implant done now in the USA in October but would be in Thailand about the time where I could get a crown on it (takes 3-6 months to heal first)... and wonder is that would suffice.... (it may not be until Feb).

So I just need to show some sort of proof of an appointment with a Dentist, etc?

From what I casually read though it might be for onlu ongoing medical care (long term issue...)....

I am a HK PR and would like to apply from HK. I have the $150k required but it hasn't been in my account for 3 months. I am not currently working so would a sponsorship letter from my partner along with their bank account statements suffice?

I should also add I am pregnant and planning to have the baby in Bumrungrad in Oct/Nov. Has anyone applied for the DTV under the medical route to give birth? I have already talked to the hospital and they have said they will provide letters etc.

If HK is too picky, would Taipei be a good next option as they mention they accept sponsorship letter on their website.

Hi. Has anyone applied for DTV for medical attention from Maharaj Nakorn Hospital? I've been taking medical attentions from Maharaj for almost a year now. I have no idea where and how to ask for the required documents. Can someone help? Thank you.

Hello everyone,

I’m planning to apply for the DTV visa for 6 months (visits and medical treatments) and I have a question about the required documents.

For this type of visa, one of the requirements is:

1. Proof of confirmation to attend the activity or letter of appointment from a hospital/medical center.

Does anyone know if it is sufficient to provide a single appointment, or do I need to include details of multiple visits or a treatment plan (e.g., medical therapy cycles)?

Any advice or experiences with this type of visa would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Anyone get a DTV with a medical appointment? A cosmetic procedure I was interested in, is $12,000 in the U.S.. $2500 in BKk. At Bumrungrad. Is Thailand offering DTV visas for single medical treatments? E-visa website in the US a little unclear on the issue.

Thanks

Hi all,

I am about to start a program of medical treatment in Thailand, which with follow ups and so on, will last approximately 1 year, with likely follow ups into subsequesnt years (it's a hip replacement - with complications).

Does anyone have any experience of applying for the DTV based on these criteria?

To add - I already live in Thailand, but i work rotations offshore outside Thailand, and am looking for a way to make my visa situation better than continual tourist visas.

I'm applying for DTV in Yangon. Have diagnosis and treatment plan document from Bumrungrad along with appointments for next 13 months all on hospital letterhead. Does this seem like enough documentation for medical soft power? Got all the other docs too.
