Anyone get a DTV with a medical appointment? A cosmetic procedure I was interested in, is $12,000 in the U.S.. $2500 in BKk. At Bumrungrad. Is Thailand offering DTV visas for single medical treatments? E-visa website in the US a little unclear on the issue.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the possibility of obtaining a DTV visa in Thailand for a single medical treatment. Users mention that it is possible to get a DTV for hospital procedures and suggest contacting Bumrungrad Hospital for necessary documentation. Some commenters note that a DTV visa may not be necessary for short stays, as many nationalities can stay up to 90 days without a visa, potentially covering the duration needed for surgery and recovery.

Why get a DTV. Most countries get 60 days which would cover your procedure without paying the 10k baht.

It might possible. But, is it your plan to live here for a long period? You can stay visa free for up to 90 days, so if you were going just to do the surgery and recovery, you don't need de DTV.

People have the DTV with a hospital procedure and follow-up appointment. It would be best if you asked Bumrungrad for the required documentation. They have a whole department facilitating medical visas, extensions, etc. They know what they are doing.
