The Dreaming Tourist Visa (DTV) can be obtained for medical reasons, but it has become more challenging in recent months. Applicants are now required to provide comprehensive medical documentation, including a long-term treatment plan from a recognized hospital. Experiences shared in the community indicate that having a treatment plan of at least 6 months or more significantly increases the chance of approval. Treatments can vary from chronic conditions to hormone therapies, and there are instances of individuals successfully applying with wellness treatment plans. Users advise utilizing the search tool on forums to find shared experiences and insights on required documentation and the application process.

Not hard at all. You need a longterm condition and a treatment plan. There are also some wellness facilities that will set up longterm DTV approved treatment plans using accupuncture and other types of traditional healing. You may need to do your first visit in country and then leave to complete the DTV paperwork
IndigoGrape5836 VERY FEW Thai Embassy's and Consulates will as accept brokerage account statements as PROOF of your having 500,000 Thai baht or more in a bank account in your name only.
True. But i sent a pile of medical reciepts and a letter from Bangkok Hospital and my 1 million CIGNA policy and told them if it was not approved I would have to take my medical care to Phillipines. Approved in 24 hours.
I did , with hormonal replacement therapy , testosterone injections. Had very low levels measured and provided 4x required financial amount and got a medical procedure plan for a year signed and stamped by hospital
I did it at the end of August 2024 by walk in. My medical ground is chronic diabetes. Bangkok Hospital gave me appointment and visa request letter. My wife (as dependent) and I applied at consulate Penang.
I got mine in August last year. Was very easy and straightforward. I think most people that try just don’t have a long enough treatment plan. Mine was 2 years.

Note that in recent months it's More difficult to get the DTV visa for medical reasons as Thai Embassy or Consulate are wanting to see documents supporting the medical DTV from the doctor and hospital outlining the treatment plan for you. Covering diagnosis and plan for your care over time periods of 6 months or MORE.
