I just extended my tourist visa exemption with an extra 30 days, I am a French citizen.
After, I would like to get the 60 day "Covid visa". I wonder if someone has already gone thru this process, especially regarding the reason on the affidavit you choose. How much of a tangible proof do you need to bring to the reason you select? For example, do I really have to contact my embassy and prove they were "unable to issue the letter of confirmation and request for a temporary stay"...? 🤔
Is there a reason you guys selected that did not require any specific proof?
Hi there! I have received a reply to my email (the one that I sent to immigration asking about the documents to be brought for the COVD-19 extension), and there is nothing to worry about, except for one thing; they attached a document which is an affidavit in which I must tick 1 out of the 4 options; 1)It is not permitted to go back to my country because COVID-19 is still going on. 2)My embassy does no longer issue letters. 3)I cannot find any flights available. 4)Other options. My question is: Does it really matter the one I choose? Thanks. The thing is that they did not ask for the TM7.
Seventh annual ext stay/ret - income (Non-O) at CW: three Q's
1.) "Number 3" statement, an affidavit of sorts, by a third party attesting to one's residence I guess. Can my landlord fill in the first section? "...*Have come to immigration division and want to testify*...". They cannot accompany me. Or leave it blank?
2.) TM.7, updated doc checklist here says completed in BLUE ink? Absolute requirement or can we prefill these with Adobe, and print in B&W?
3.) Is it currently acceptable to prefill the three *ancillary* documents (Number 3, STM2, Acknowledgement of Penalties)? Sign before, or in the presence of the IO?
I recently recieved a new passport in Bangkok along with a pro forma letter for Thai immigration to transfer my Visa from my old passport to my new one. When I went to Thai immigration they told me that I need an affidavit from the British Embassy Bangkok to prove the passports both relate to the same person (because I had my middle name added in my new passport). The British Embassy Bangkok has responded to me and said that they do not issue affidavits. Any advice on how to transfer my Visa would be much appreciated 🙏
Has anyone come across this problem yet. According to immigration, affidavits have to be given now to prove that the passport holder and person named on a degree certificate are the same. It seems the British embassy will not do affidavits for this. Although they called it an affidavit at the time. They gave a letter which Thai immigration will not accept. Trying to convert a 60 day tourist visa into a non b here, which has always been possible. Any ideas how to fix this without having to go back to the U.K. for a non. b there?
