What are the requirements and experiences for extending a stay based on marriage in Jomtien?

Hi all,

I applied for my extension of stay based on marriage at jomtien immigration.

Firstly it was very quiet - only took an hour and the immigration was super friendly (normal quirks of different requirements over different years)

Anyhow at the end my wife was asked to complete 2 new forms I think they were mvp10 and mvp11

This was an affidavit to for the wife to sign to say that we were married - wasn’t sure of the other form as I was getting a few photocopies at the time

The other major difference was them asking the source of funds in the bank - I just said savings / investments.

Hope this helps others.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shares their experience applying for a marriage visa extension at the Jomtien immigration office. The process was quick and friendly, with an hour-long wait. The user mentions their wife had to complete forms MVP10 and MVP11, which included an affidavit confirming their marriage. They also needed to declare the source of funds for the extension, stating savings and investments. The conversation highlights variations in document requirements and procedures at different immigration offices, with comments about the necessity of new Kor Ror forms and potential home visits.

Our original KR22 was accepted by CM immigration at the last renewal without any query whatsoever.

New Kor Ror2 also applies to Mahasarakham. Can not use the one from last year. Also 4 colour pics. One of house to show the number of floors, 1 showing house number and 2 inside

Thank you for the update, congrats on the extension,

You got a 30 day under consideration stamp correct?

Did you have to get a new Kor Ror 2 (if you were married in thailand) or a new Kor Ror 22 (if you were married overseas) from the Amphur before you applied?

Remember people this is for JOMTIEN immigrations only, your mileage may vary if you use a different office

Hi
@Tod ********
yes 30 day under consideration stamp.

We went to the Ampur in Bang Lamung for an updated Kor Ror 2earlier in the week.

only other 'deviation' this year was a set of colour photo's (last year just 2 sets of B&W were fine)

The other important thing was to have all the documents presented in the correct order for the officer :)

thanx for that, again congrats on your extension
