My boyfriend applied for a DTV visa in London. After about 11 business days, the embassy asked for more documents, and today he got an email saying he has to go in for an interview. Has anyone been through this before? How long did it take to get your visa after the interview?

Have a question about UT. My girlfriend has applied OUT and after 2 months got an appointment at the embassy in Bangkok for an interview and now it's done on Dec 18. How long does it take after the interview is done before she gets answers if granted UT?

-------------

After my documents were pending approval and then under document check, the embassy requested a clearer bank statement, which I uploaded. It went back to pending approval, and now it’s document check again.

I just got an email from the embassy inviting me to an interview next week.

Does anyone have experience with this? What should I expect in the interview, and how can I best prepare for it? (Applying for Workcation)

I've been applying from the UK for a Muay Thai DTV and have been asked to go to the Embassy for an interview. Has anyone had this experience? All my documents are in place and everything was sent to them as requested.

After I submit my application and it is pending approval, do I need to stay in the country where I applied until it is approved? Or can I travel outside of the country until it is approved? I applied online through the embassy in Hanoi.

Embassies have started to call people in for an interview in person. Recently happened with friends that applied for the DTV in Frankfurt, Germany. After 3-4 weeks in the process. No further documents asked in the eVisa portal. So be careful when you apply from abroad. 😉

There will be a couple posts from me on this subject sorry in advance. For those of you who find my posts irritating- now is a good time to block me.

Getting ready for my wife to do her US tourist visa embassy interview. I am seeing conflicting information regarding medical exam. Anyone have current and direct experience on this? Required or not? It was NOT mentioned in the information given after the application was submitted and the interview scheduled. I think this is an "immigrant" vs "tourist" visa thing, but I want to be sure.

Need some advice please guys.

I applied for a new tourist visa from PP via an agency in Sihanoukville (used several times without any problems). The agency contacted me a few days later and told me I have to go to PP and see someone at the embassy in person.

I was questioned about why I have so many tourist visas in my passport (I’ve been doing back to back tourist visas for the last 2 years, 3rd in a row from PP).

He couldn’t understand that I wasn’t working in Thailand and I obviously failed to convince him otherwise.

I’m a UK passport holder.

No overstays.

Not old enough for retirement visa.

Not working in Thailand.

Basically I would like to know what my options are and what could possibly happen when I try to return to Thailand.

Thanks in advance.
