When applying for the DTV as a remote worker do you need to go for an interview? This could become difficult as i am of to work every six weeks and can not just take time off whenever it suits the embassy

TLDR : Answer Summary
The need for an interview when applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand varies by embassy. While some embassies may require an interview, others do not, and applicants should check the specific requirements of their local embassy. It's suggested to provide a letter from your employer confirming your remote work status, and there may be options for online interviews. However, planning around work commitments is necessary, as visa procedures may not align with an applicant's schedule.

It depends on each embassy. Where are you located? You can choose whether to have an interview or not — just select the country

What do you mean, you are off to work? I think you idea of remote work is different than what is meant here. Remote being, you can work from your laptop in Thailand. You have to have your employer write a letter saying you can work remotely from Thailand. It sounds like you work in a remote location, not remotely

Some remote work requires a certain amount of time at base.

For example I’m about to start a new position in my company (already have a DTV). And I will be required to spend 2-3 weeks a quarter in USA

The rest of the time is remote

Not everyone sells e books and insurance online 🙏🏽👌🫶🏽

Make a letter in which you explain your working routine.

and send that in the application.

As it seems, some interviews are done on-line, yes, even the Embassy has access to the www.

“Whenever it suits the embassy”

LOL

You’re asking permission to enter a sovereign land for an extended period of time. They can answer you whenever/however they deem fit.

There is a nice, strictly factual way to put it and then there is the unfortunately widespread judgemental farang deadbeat way

So you don't mind paying every 2 months for flights and 200USD for fast track?

That's why I was asking you if you have a goose at home laying golden eggs since you are so rich

Where are you applying? Many embassies do not interview but you should factor in the possibility of being asked when applying, some it is compulsory.
