Hi again,

I applied for Single entry Tourist Visa, staying at my girlfriends (not official spouse) house. Vienna Thai Embassy wants "an invitation letter from the accommodation sponsor". Are there any special reqirements for the Invitation letter?

Can it be written by me in English? Printed in TH, signed and returned to me as a picture?

Hi All, just chasing some advice on visa applications. I am an Australian citizen and currently in Australia last year I married my long term Thai partner and returned to Australia due to work but am wanting to return to Thailand to be with my partner and to buy a business. What is the best process for visa do I need to get a 90 day before I return then apply for marriage or business visa? Or can I enter Thailand on a tourist visa and complete all applications in Thailand? I am 52 and will have rented a condo in my name before I return in March. Just looking at what would be the best and easiest option. Thanks in advance for advice. 👍

Question Re : Non O Requirements/Eligibility

- I am a retired Canadian over 50 years of age.

- I have a Thai partner but we are NOT married.

- I currently have a multiple entry Non OA Visa which expires on November 22nd

- I have a Non OA eligible Thai Insurance Company issued insurance policy

- I have 800k Baht on deposit with a Thai Bank.

- I am returning to Thailand on November 12th.

- I would like to apply for an Non O Visa rather than apply for an extension of my OA.

Question :

Am I eligible? Do I qualify?

Is it possible to obtain a NON O Visa once I have returned to Thailand on November 12th before my OA Visa expires on November 22nd?

What steps must I follow?

Is there a current file here listing the contact and appointment reservation procedure for the Thai Consulate in Savannaket, Laos?

Also the requirements that the Consulate requires for the Non O Thai Spouse year long multiple entry visa?

It might be helpful for some who are interested in this.

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has completed a 30 day extension on a visa exemption at the Jomtien immigration office recently? It's the first time I have needed to apply for the extension and am looking for any experience from others.

I went there earlier today, but they told me to come back when closer to the expiry of the exemption. There was already a huge lineup for the 90 day reporting. I've already got the all the documents photocopied and the photographs

I did receive a TM 30 form from the immigration worker which I'm not sure about. I'm staying at a guest house which I'm assuming has completed the TM 30, but do I need to have a completed TM 30 to handover to the immigration with my other documents for a 30 day extension or will a receipt for a TM 30 lodgment from the manager suffice?

Thanks

TM30 Question:

I’m in 7 quarantine scheduled to leave tomorrow morning ( Friday Nov-5).

I will stay with a friend a few days then upcountry a few days until my condo is available for me to move into. I’m on a 60 TR, plan to change to non-O based on over 50.

Do I need to do any further TM30 outside of what the quarantine hotel submitted on my initial arrival.?

My condo lease doesn’t start until 10/11/21… Will this cause any problems when going for future extension.?

Thanks in advance

The dumb question I have is : why is the thai consulate Chicago website saying 3 million baht required in Thai bank for non immigrant long stay 50+ o e visa for the first year and Iam reading from this FB page 800000 baht? One is for new visa and one for existing visa holders? I would be new one year visa o e non immigrant retiree applicant. U.S. thank you and sorry for my confusion if this question has already been answered

NON B VISA

My non B expires on 3 Jan but I'm *still* waiting for my new WP and I'll then go to Penang to get my new visa.

- Am I right in thinking I just need to be out of Thailand before my visa expires on 3Jan, or do I need to have my new visa by that date? (Might not be possible due to closure dates)

- Does anyone know the closing dates of the consulate as I can only find the 2018 ones not for Jan 2019?

- Otherwise, my lawyer said he can just send me to Penang with paperwork saying my WP is in process and I can still get the visa... Does that sound right?!

Thanks a lot!!

Hi, is it possible to arrive into Thailand on the Visa exemption (30 days) and then extend that visa 7 days at an Immigration office? I will need to stay for 33 days after arriving from Bali, but worried that Thai officials may look suspiciously on the fact that I've been in Thailand 3 months before that. What do you think about this approach, would it be fine? I'm going back to my home country after these 33 days.
