Hello, newb here. I am in the process of applying for LTR visa. I have seen it mentioned on this page that people have needed authenticated passports for various reasons, but so far I dont see that it is a requirement for me, and it is quite costly. For what circumstances does one require an authenticated passport? Thanks.

I saw a post saying immigration can access your history even if you get a brand new passport, but I was wondering can they access you history if you enter on a second passport from a completely different country? (same name and date of birth, just from a passport different country you entered before)

Is the last step of the e-visa application really holding my passport and stare into a camera? feels wrong haha

Anyone applied for the yellow book Tabian Baan for foreigners? As I understand it I need to get my passport verified at the British Embassy then take this to Chaeng Wattana MOFA for translation then back to my local govt office with all the other documents. My question is, do I need an appointment at the Embassy or can somewhere else do it, e.g. VFS Global? do I get it over the counter there and then or do I come back another day? Any charge ( a stupid question but anyone know how much)?

Police have been out to check me in village to witness where I'm living is legitimate, so be careful they took photo of me at the residency (where I'm staying) and copy of my passport, is this normal?
