Hello everyone,

I'm planning to apply for a DTV workation in Hanoï in the next few days.

Here is the rationale: I have spent the last 9 months in Thailand doing pretty much nothing, travelling and diving, and catching up with my friends (I used to work in Bkk for 3 years with work permit).

I do have a french company that I have opened last year but never used it.

I want to start my activities now online but have no history.

For all I read, you all had a legitimate business before requesting DTV, so I'm a bit concerned.

All advices will be much appreciated 🙂

Thank you 🙏

Update - My other concern is that my krungsri account hasn't been able to receive international funds recently, I've been having to send my money to my partners account. Was planning to go and open a new bank account with K bank before I switch the visa.

Regarding the bank issues.. does anyone have any knowledge that if your bank account was opened with a student ed visa and you then switch to DTV, is the account still to be closed? I've had my Thai account for around 7 years but since opening it I've personally never reported when I've made a new visa. I plan to switch to DTV in a couple months but really need my Thai account 😶 long shot I know, but it there's any Intel it would be appreciated

📣 VISA / BANK INFO IN THAILAND 🇹🇭💳

I’ve heard that some banks in Thailand have started closing accounts opened with the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa). 😟

I’m curious to know:

What has your experience been with this visa at different banks?

➡️ Is your account still active?

➡️ Which bank did you choose?

➡️ Has your bank contacted you about this?

Thanks everyone for your feedback — it could really help the community 🙏✨

I just did my 90 day reporting in Chiang Mai as a DTV and it took less than 5 minutes. I was prepared to spend the whole day there. So happy the process was smooth

We’ve received many questions about the recent restrictions on opening bank accounts, especially from those currently on a TR or Visa-Exempt entry who want to transition to a retirement visa.

To assist, we’re offering the following package in Bangkok exclusively for group members on a Tourist Visa, or Visa Exemption:

▪ Bank Account Opening

▪ 3-Month Non-O Visa

▪ 1-Year Non-O Retirement Extension

All for 55,000 THB in Bangkok

Hey yall with the money in the bank requirement. I have it but it’s in investment accounts. Do I have to pull my money out to season it in a checking account for 3 months? Before applying or can I just show them an investment account?

I have a suggestion for an admin or all star contributors. Could someone make a spreadsheet that could be up in the documents (maybe a pinned post) of the current average processing times of the various cities people apply for the DTV. Not only extremely helpful - it would cover a large percentage of the questions asked :)

Hello👋🏻 , m planning my first ever trip to thailand where i would preferably stay for a year at least as a remote worker ( I don’t make 2700$/month for a DTV ) , should i just go visa free for 90 days then leave and get a 90 visa for a total of 6 months ? Is there any better options ? I heard people take muai thai classes for a full year visa. Any help would be much appreciated 🙏🏻

Hey everyone, looking for some advice from the group.

I hold both US and Russian passports. I have a DTV visa issued to my US passport, but for this particular trip I want to enter Thailand using my Russian passport instead (visa exemption).

My reason: 16 days after arrival to Thailand I'm traveling onward to where my Russian passport works better and want to keep travel continuity.

Has anyone entered Thailand on a different passport than the one with their DTV visa? Any issues at Thai immigration? I'm prepared with explanations and all my bookings are on the Russian passport, but wondering if this will create problems.

Would appreciate any experiences or thoughts from the group. Thanks!
