Can i still open a bank account under the 1-year ED visa Or the bank will consider it a “tourist visa”?

Considering my already overloaded plate. I'm sure I'll need a "Agent" to get through this extensive process ig Visa application, I can't even imagine how I'd do this alone ? Any suggestions for a Reputable Visa agent ? Yes,,I've visited Thailand, 60 days of bliss, my life is changed. Thanks ps. I'm still in Florida right now, my visit was limited to Phuket, mainly Rawai and Patong. I plan to live near Isaan or Chang Mai..maybe Udon ?

Has anyone had success applying for the DTV visa in a neighboring country? Which one has the easiest Thai embassy?

Just got my DTV in Ho Chi Minh city! Landed on the 15th May, sent in my application via Issa Compass ([members only]/) and it was approved on the 26th May. They're a great visa agent that doesn't charge too much, and they also offer a refund if your application is unsuccessful!

I applied via Thai soft power with Arun Thai Cooking school for a 12 month program which offers a variety of different programs depending on your need. The entire process was really smooth and they were responsive and answered all the questions I had.

Is there a way to buy time before investing in all this Retirement Visa plan and or This "Non O" , in other words, if a single person on a very tight budget should want to live in Thailand, what would be most economical, just to get established with a home base ? Thank you

Just a little word to the wise about something that happened to me.

I am renting a house in Ban Chang for about 3 months now. I have a retirement visa.

So a couple days ago a couple immigration officers from Rayong IO knocked on my door and asked for my passport. OK.......no worries on my part. I know I am all good in all regards.

Long story short...........the were looking for the previous renter (a gentleman from England). They said he had overstayed his visa.

Take from this what you will. It showed me that Thai Immigration Rayong is on the job, and ya best keep things up to snuff.

I want an extension for my non-marriage visa...can I do that in any province or only where I registered TM30 on a local address?

My husband and I have started the visa process. It seems fairly straightforward, although I'll probably have more questions as we move through the process.

Is it worth it to hire an agent to do some leg work and/or review the required documentation? If so, what's the average cost?

We'll be staying in Krabi when we come back from tidying up our affairs here. So if we need to meet up with an agent hopefully they're near Krabi.

RETIREMENT VISA! Can the monthly income requirement be coming into a foreign bank account? Or does it need to be a Thai bank account? Also, can I get the visa when already in Thailand? Thank you 😊

And can i get an Thai Driving license with this ..of course i have driving license in my Home country
