Hi everyone

I’m recommending Tik toc services in Pattaya if you are after a bank account or drivers licences on the dtv. They were very professional and managed to get both the licence and bank account sorted in one day.

Is there any age limit for DTV visa? My friend is in his late fifties, works remotely and fits the criteria, but is afraid to apply for DTV thinking its only for young people

Hi, I searched the group but limited information comes up in regards to applying through the US New York consulate. I will be back in the US for 4-5 weeks over the holidays and I would like to know the processing time for the DTV or if I should plan on applying somewhere in SE Asia when I return. Thank you!

If you want to use a cooking class for the soft power category for the DTV: does the cooking school have to be certified by the MOE (ministry of education) or is it enough to have a booking confirmation of a multi-week class and the payment slip for it (maybe id and business registration of the owner/company?)? anyone got any experiences with this? Any other documents needed in case of the cooking class route besides the financial proof? preferably applying via eVisa in germany but a thai neighboring country would also be an option. Thanks in advance.

Quick question about the bank account statements and so on, as i want to get this done in the first try:

I am a US citizen applying in Ho Chi Minh and I have been a self employed business consultant for over 5 years.

What specific documents do i need that have been working the best for others in the group? (Ex: EIN, State corporation LLC paperwork, client contracts, etc)

Then in regards to banking:

Is it okay to use 6 my personal statements from different personal accounts or does it need to all be from one bank?

Also could i use the business bank account statements in place of my own?

Much appreciated 🙏

Hello, I am considering a DTV visa and I have a company. Should the account with the 500,000 baths be in your own name or in the name of the company? Also, how many customer contracts do I need to provide? Thank you in advance

Hi everyone,

After my father’s passing, my 56-year-old mother wants to move to Thailand to be closer to me. I’m currently living in Thailand on a DTV visa, but she doesn’t have the 800,000 baht required for the retirement visa. Our French embassy still issues income declarations, but they’re solely based on honor without any verification.

If she comes to Thailand without a visa, can we use the French embassy’s income declaration for her initial O visa application? By the end of the first year, she will have the 12 monthly payments of 65,000 baht required for renewal.

Thank you in advance for your advice!

I am now pretty much ready to retire in Thailand. I have used it as a base to travel in Asia as a tourist on and off over the last couple of years and used the multiple entry visa as it was designed to.

I went to Udon Thani immigration to enquire about the possibility of changing to a 90 day visa and then a retirement visa. The lady said it is now very difficult to do. You need Thai witnesses, house visits, etc and takes a long time. She seemed genuine and suggested I get the 90 day visa back in the UK.

I checked with a visa agent in Udon Thani and they said they now charge 70,000 THB because it has become so complex with checks and witnesses, which backs up the IO's previous statement.

As I have come back to the UK for family reasons I am going to apply for the 90 day visa here for retirement here, and then seek to switch it to the one year retirement extension when back there. I already have a condo and the seasoned funds in BKK, does it matter that my current 6month multiple entry tourist visa is still valid until February? Anything else to look out for? The application online has been streamlined and looks extremely simple.

Is it planned to be more easy to apply for the DTV e.g. without leaving Thailand? Why is it not even possible now? And yeah I know it's a new visa and not fully developed yet, but damn... I can't be the only one who finds that super exhausting. You can even apply for the funny ED Visa within Thailand.
