Hi anyone know how I can open a bank account with British passport please

Hi, As of July 1, 2025 - 4:15pm my DTV visa was confirmed via email. Clearly lost hope because it’s almost been a month. So confused and happy right now.

After how long should I enter Thailand? How many days is max ? So would it be a problem if I arrived in 10-15 days or 1 month later ?

Hi all. I entered Thailand (via Bangkok) a couple days ago (UK passport holder so just getting a visitor visa at the desk). I noticed that the immigration officer used their personal iPhone to take a couple photos of her screen (don’t think pictures of my passport itself were taken) but noticed it and thought it was unusual as never seen this before. All other interaction was completely normal and was stamped and let in without issue. Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience. For note, this is my first time back to Thailand in 13 years.

Account Suspension – Bank of Ayudhya

I’ve been overseas for the past 6 months and found my Krungsri account suspended. It seems to be due to not verifying that my phone number matches the account name (I never got around to it). Down 500 baht, not much but I bloody well want it back.

My Kasikorn account is still working fine.

Anyone else having access issues?

I'm planning a holiday to Colombo, Sri Lanka and am interested in applying for a DTV while I'm there. Has anyone here applied from there and what was your experience with the whole process? Anything I should keep in mind? Much appreciated!

A quick note to the group to say thanks for the advice and for answering my silly questions. My wife got her non-immigrant OA visa yesterday and I got mine this morning, 15 hours before our flight and 6 hours before we would have had to make a lot of changes to our reservations. Anyway, it was a struggle at times but we got there in the end and are on our way in 5 hours. Thanks again 🙏

my visa status went to pending approval and then after 2 hr again back to pending doc check. anyone got same experience

In Vientiane Laos, during the interview, do they only check the bank statement you submitted on your mobile banking app? The thing is that the one I submitted has minimal transaction activities since it’s my saving account. I have a different bank account for daily use and receiving international payments, then transfer most of the money to my saving account. And in that case, will they check both accounts?
