Hi all. I entered Thailand (via Bangkok) a couple days ago (UK passport holder so just getting a visitor visa at the desk). I noticed that the immigration officer used their personal iPhone to take a couple photos of her screen (don’t think pictures of my passport itself were taken) but noticed it and thought it was unusual as never seen this before. All other interaction was completely normal and was stamped and let in without issue. Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience. For note, this is my first time back to Thailand in 13 years.
Hello, looking to return to Thailand, on a 60 day standard visitor visa, looking to extend for further 30 days. (Total 90 days) looking to stay with girl friend, no hotel, two questions,
1 ) applying for visa in UK do I get an airline ticket for 60 or 90 days, knowing I intend to extend, will the authorities question the flight ticket?? Will my ticket have to correspond with the 60 days, and have to extend when I apply for extension.
2) will my girl friend have to provide me with a letter to submit with my standard visitor visa, advising the authorities that I will be staying with her , will that letter be in English or have to be in Thai? Also will it only be for the initial 60 days, bearing in mind I can only apply for extension in the last few days of my 60 day visitors visa?
Is there such a thing as a medical extension for a visitor from the US? I'm awaiting test results to see if I might need to have a surgical procedure done that, with recovery and follow-up, could run over both our 45-day visitor entry (expiring Nov 27) and the normal 30-day extension (would expire ~Dec 27).
Any ideas how long is a visitor visa valid for in Thailand given this covid situation (i thought i read somewhere that its 15days on top because of quarantine?! )
has anyone had any experience renewing the visitor visa and been refused?
Sorry if this question has been asked before. If I come in on a 30-day visitor visa, can I extend it without leaving the country? If yes, How many times can it be extended?
