The DTV application process is a SCAM.

US Passport

Soft Power Muay Thai

Rejected then approved.

I applied in Hanoi 22 June and was rejected 25 June for Soft Power. No additional documents were requested. I went to the Thai embassy and asked why my application was rejected. The nice, but clueless, lady at the counter looked up my application and said that my "documents did not qualify". She could not specify which documents did not qualify but she encouraged me to apply again. Such BS.

So i applied again on 26 June with the EXACT same documents but this time I highlighted my name, ending balance, and account numbers in my Bank statements and pay slips. Visa was approved 4 business days later on 1 July.

Documents submitted:

Proof of location:

-Boarding pass

-Passport entry stamp

-Hotel booking

Proof of funds:

-Bank balance screenshot day of submission with 1M+ baht

-Bank statements showing over 1M baht (6 months)

-Pay slips (6 months)

Soft Power documents supplied by Muay Thai school

Cross your fingers if you decide to apply at Hanoi. They WILL randomly reject your application and encourage you to pay again. SCAMMERS

Hi! Does the London embassy accept 1 month statement that shows the whole month? Iโ€™ve heard rumours they want 3 months?

Visa Approved! I would have not been able to get my visa approved without the help of this group and the thorough details from some of these postings. Thank you!

Applied for Visa on June 9th

Asked to share more documents on June 17th

Sent the requested documents on the 20th

Approved on July 2nd.

Good luck to everyone and please let me know if you have any questions. I would like to pay it forward ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿพ๐Ÿซต๐Ÿพ

Hello, we would like to apply for the DTV Softpower visa. Our story in brief:

We applied for the first time in Germany at the end of April. It was rejected because the course only lasted 12 days instead of the minimum 6 months. The cooking school recommended this course to us, and to date, no other course has been rejected except for us.

We entered Thailand on May 21st. We left on May 29th for Vietnam, Hanoi, and applied again there, but this time for a 1-year course at the same school.

Rejected again in Hanoi โ€“ this time without explanation. However, our cooking school told us today that the exact week we applied for the visa in Hanoi, the consulate was very strict and there were sometimes up to 6 rejections a day.

We submitted both applications through the Issa Compass agency.

On June 4th, we entered Thailand without a visa, but I returned on June 4th. I left immediately due to a death in the family and traveled to Germany, re-entering Thailand on June 14th.

We would now like to extend our visa-free stay by 30 days and then try to apply for the DTV again in September, as the agency advised us not to do so again for another three months (it was rejected on June 2nd, so weโ€™re commuting to September).

Which consulate is the โ€žbestโ€œ? Better saying: Where did you have the best experience?

Thank you for your help! ๐Ÿ™

I currently hold a Non-Immigrant O Marriage Visa. I will be traveling to Germany soon, where I will need to obtain a new passport. My current passport will likely be stamped as invalid.

What steps do I need to take to ensure I can re-enter Thailand and transfer my visa to the new passport upon my return?

Hi , what are agents charging for the retirement visa , the person would need the agent to show the finances. It would be better if agent in Pattaya area as he will rent a condo there.
