I left Thailand on the 23rd of June and plan to re-enter on the 5th of July (visa exemption). This is my first ever visa exemption. Uk passport holder. Do you think I will have any issues?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about possible issues when re-entering Thailand on a visa exemption after their work permit expired. They have received feedback suggesting that they likely will not face problems, but some caution about unresolved work permit issues may arise, especially regarding visits to immigration offices. Additionally, it is advised to carry a return ticket.

It might be a good idea to have a return ticket.

Probably not, but not cancelling your work permit and associated extension of stay can be an issue if you have to visit an immigration office
