I would like to ask, I have heard that visa renewal in Thai immigration is only possible once, but even if u change location, will it not be possible to renew visa more than once?

Currently, I was planning to renew my visa at some immigration office at the end of April within the 60-day limit, renew it somewhere else the following month, and then apply for a visa in LAOS to get another 2 months, for a total of 6 months, but does that mean I can't do that?

Am I correct in understanding that I can get another 60 days when I run the visa to the border? However, it seems that the regulations for visa runs are getting stricter, and there is a possibility that I could be deported, so I would like to avoid that if possible, and if I can only renew my visa once at immigration, how can I stay for 180 days/1 year? If you know, I would also like to know.

Question about "overlapping" visas:

Has anyone tried applying for a DTV while holding a valid Thai visa? I currently have a work visa (Non-B) expiring in June, I will be leaving my Thai company subsequently as well. I am hoping to apply for a DTV now (Workcation, I have a permanent remote work position with a Singapore company) and wondering if anyone has encountered any issues in doing so or what the embassy has advised in such situations. I have called and emailed my local embassy regarding this and received only a general response via email so trying my luck here.

I am in Singapore holding a Singapore passport. Embassy is closed until Wednesday for Songkran.

Hello everyone đź‘‹

I had my soft power dtv (Muay Thai) approved end of last year, have entered the kingdom once since then for just under 90 days and completed the Muay Thai sessions that I’d pre paid-for as part of my dtv application, which was in Phuket.

My next visit to Thailand will be in July and I’ll likely be staying in hua hin, where I plan to continue Muay Thai training.

Seeing as I no longer have any pre paid sessions, and will be training in a different gym to the one I applied for my dtv with. Am I breaking any rules or creating any risk of not being granted entry in July?

Great to hear from anyone with experience of a similar situation 🙏

I secured a job in Bangkok, and now I want to cancel my DTV visa so I can apply for a Non-Immigrant B (work) visa. I left Thailand a few days ago and returned to the country where I originally got my DTV visa approved.

I contacted the embassy 3 days ago, but I haven’t received any response yet. According to my employer, I need to cancel the DTV visa, return to Thailand on a tourist visa, and then they will help me switch to a Non-B visa.

Do you have any suggestions or advice on how to proceed? I would appreciate any help.

LOS ANGELES THAI CONSULATE:

Applied March 6th. Submitted further documents March 25th. Have not heard back since. It is now April 14th 2025

I applied for the DTV Soft Power on May 6th with all required documents and triple checked all information was submitted correctly word for word.

13 days later (March 25th) I get an email asking to submit a bank statement requiring a MINIMUM of $17,000 USD, with my name clearly printed and it cannot be an investent profile. My name was CLEARLY PRINTED on my bank statement, it is a statement from a SAVINGS/ CHECKING ACCOUNT with my BANK which also has the banks name and address cleary printed on it. I submitted the statement with $15,300 USD AS THE E-VISA WEBSITE and every other resource available online stated the requirement was a minimim of $15,000. I could have submitted the statement with $17,000+ the first time if thats what made clear anywhere but it wasnt.

I resubmitted a new bank statement with $17,500 1 day of recieving that further documents requested email (March 27) and ever since status has been in "Processing Document Check (1) ". I underatand as of now it Songkran in Thailand, but that document was sumbitted way prior to the holiday.

I also submitted the documents for my finacé's DTV SoftPower on April 4th 2025 with all the same required documents except I made sure her bank statement has well over $17,000 USD. We applidd to the same consulate as me. Her status has been "Pending Payment" ever since. Its been 6 business days and no status change.

I'll continue my patience but wrote this out slight confusion & frustration.

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE THAI CONSULATE LOS ANGELES

Has anyone applied and succeeded for DTV using the Thai intensive course with Mind Language School in Koh Samui?

They offer a 2 week intensive course to learn Thai and say it’s eligible for the DTV as well.

I thought you can only do a language course on an ED’s visa?

Sooo like… I’m 19, my only job is being on TikTok and I just found out y’all have a DIGITAL NOMAD VISA??

Quick question tho — can I get the Thailand DTV visa if I’m like… kinda famous on TikTok?

I don’t really have a *job-job* but I post dances, GRWMs, and daily vibes. I made like $400 last month so technically I’m a digital worker, right??

I just *really* need to leave my home country… the vibes are off, my ex still lives here, and I think I’m allergic to cold weather!

Do I have to like… prove I pay taxes or something? I’m kinda new to all this stuff but I’m a quick learner (unless it’s math)

Let me know if I can qualify pls
