Has anyone tried applying for a DTV while holding a valid Thai visa? I currently have a work visa (Non-B) expiring in June, I will be leaving my Thai company subsequently as well. I am hoping to apply for a DTV now (Workcation, I have a permanent remote work position with a Singapore company) and wondering if anyone has encountered any issues in doing so or what the embassy has advised in such situations. I have called and emailed my local embassy regarding this and received only a general response via email so trying my luck here.
I am in Singapore holding a Singapore passport. Embassy is closed until Wednesday for Songkran.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry revolves around applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) while currently holding a Non-B work visa that is expiring. The original poster is based in Singapore and holds a Singapore passport, seeking personal experiences or official advice regarding potential issues in retaining a valid visa while applying for a new one. Responses from the community indicate that while one cannot hold two visas simultaneously, applying for a DTV while on an extension of stay (if applicable) should not pose significant issues.
Not DTV but my O had to be cancelled before I could apply for my B. It might be different with the DTV and others may have different experience.

I am doubtful you have ANY visa at all at this point and I would almost bet dollars to durian if you looked at your passport you'd have a stamp that says "extension of stay permitted until" that you got from the immigration office inside thailand. <- That is NOT a visa, 🙂
There is no issue applying for a DTV while you hold a valid extension of stay, (no matter if you cancel it before you go to apply for the visa or not, it won't affect the application)
