Hello, I was thinking about applying under soft power medical for diabetes but I received this response from a hospital in bangkok stating I need to see their doctors for a year for diabetes care which doesn't help me now 😅

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for a hospital in Bangkok?

Otherwise, it's looking like I'll be applying under the cooking soft power.

Thanks

I've just had an interesting conversation with Chiang Mai immigration. I have a non o retirement visa, and have been using the monthly income method for my extensions. Partly because of the falling Aussie Peso, I decided to convert to 800,000 in the bank. I duly banked the amount in early August, well before the two months seasoning for my extension on 26 Sept. Now I find, confirmed by immigration, the money must be in the bank a full 12 months before I apply for an extension. Their reasoning is it wasn't in the bank for 3 months after I applied for my last extension????

As we'd say in Aust, Please Explain

When the Canadian embassy provided proof of income, Thai immigration would not accept 40K monthly baht transferred into a Thai bank from Canada. Now that the embassy no longer provides this service, is Thai immigration now accepting Thai bank monthly transfers of 40k from Canada overseas as proof of income.

Hi I've entered Bali via the gates at immigration without a stamp last week and was applying this week for Dtv visa. I have the email of the e visa as a pdf and I assumed that was sufficient to show evidence but I've read contradictory views on that and the Muai Thai gym I plan to apply for Petchnumnoi Gym ( Sitnumnoi&Singpatong) via there webpage chat wasn't sure also, I have seen one post of someone stating they had the same experience but not any clear solution to the issue, I've been following this group and greatly appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

Non O retirement visa. Does the 800k have to stay in the bank for 3 calendar months after extension or 90 days? Is it calculated from the date of application or date on the extension?

Hey everyone,

Sorry this is a longer post — I’d really appreciate any insight or advice ❤️

I recently applied for the Thai Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) from Germany (my passport country), and unfortunately, my application was just rejected. I’m still trying to understand what exactly went wrong.

Here’s what I submitted:

* Proof of funds (over 500,000 THB)

* Invoices from freelance clients over the past 12 months

* My personal Spanish tax return (I was living in Spain until recently)

* Proof of current location in Germany (short-term rental contract)

* A company tax return from a Spanish business I closed in March 2025

I’m currently not registered anywhere, as I’ve been full-time nomadic since March — and was just temporarily in Germany when I applied.

A few days after submitting, they asked me to:

* Provide proof of registration in Germany (which I don’t have - I explained it to them and it seemed ok - so I think)

* Legalize all documents related to any foreign company through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Thai embassy in the issuing country (in my case, Spain)

Since my company was already closed and I wasn’t in Spain anymore, I explained that and asked them to disregard the company tax documents and instead focus only on my personal Spanish tax return.

Still, my visa was rejected — no reason given.

What’s confusing is that a friend of mine (Spanish citizen) applied from Vietnam, had no company, and got approved in just two days — no extra documents requested.

So I’m left wondering:

* Has anyone here successfully applied from a country that’s not their own passport country (like Vietnam)?

* Do they always require legalised foreign tax documents? (If so, what exactly? Just the tax return? Company registration too?)

* Would submitting only my personal tax return be enough?

* I recently opened a U.S. LLC to handle invoicing — will this create the same legalization problem if I use it in a new application?

* Do they expect you to be officially registered somewhere? Or is that flexible for nomads?

I really put a lot of time and effort into this application — so I’m feeling discouraged. I had hoped to spend 6–7 months a year in Thailand, and this rejection feels like a setback I didn’t expect.

If anyone here has been through something similar or knows how to navigate this better, I’d be so grateful for your advice. 🙏

Thanks so much in advance.

I have a question. Coming Tuesday I will be leaving from Thailand to Malaysia and return back the next day. As DTV holder do I need to fill TDAC form and if yes, what should I fill in departure date and flight info? Cuz I don’t know yet. It will be in next 6 months.
