DTV Approved.

After reading so many rejections I was getting worried but approval received. I made sure to provide all documents and clearly answer any questions they had. If you legitimately fit the criteria, the process is simple.

Timeline for reference:

March 13: DTV application submitted workcation (Malaysia)

March 18: Email received requesting for more documents:

• All passport pages

• Proof of prolonged residence in Thailand for at least 6 months

• Proof of salary slip/monthly income for the last 6 months.

• A copy of the company's registration/business license

• A professional portfolio and job presentation.

• Explain your job and position, and how it relates to DTV and Digital Nomads or Remote worker.

March 23: Approval

Hello,

I need to transfer my non b visa to a new passport.

I wondered if it’s possible to do it at any immigration office or does it need to the the same one the visa was done at?

I also wondered what paperwork or documents are needed to do this please?

Many thanks ☺️

Approved in Manila in 9 business days

I thought I’d make a post about my application process since this group has been really helpful in my application journey!

I applied soft power with Arun Thai Cooking School and used Issa Compass as the agent. Arun Thai was great- they sent the full packet of documents over within 24 hours of paying and the embassy never had any questions. Looking forward to the classes!

Timeline:

Applied January 13

Further documents requested January 19

Further documents requested January 21

Approved January 26

Since Issa Compass handled everything, I don’t know exactly how this was collated and what sorts of cover letters they added.

Documents:

- 6 months of bank statements (last three have balance over 500k, first three balances were between 400k and 500k)

- Contract for my freelance client

- 4 months of invoices

- Passport photo page

- All passport pages that had Thai entry/exit stamps (5 months of visa exemptions/extension from August until January)

- Passport page with Philippines entry stamps

- Booking receipt for an Airbnb in the Philippines for one week (Cebu not Manila)

- Booking receipt for an Airbnb for 1 month in Bangkok

- Photo of me in a thai cooking class earlier this year

First round of additional documents:

- They requested a new bank statement which was not yet available

- They requested a letter from my client that said I still worked for them. This wasn’t possible to get so I instead submitted the invoices from the weeks since submitting and another contract I had started in that time

Second round of additional documents:

- They requested proof of income tax, I sent my previous year’s tax return

- They requested my registration as an independent contractor. The US doesn’t really register independent contractors like this so I had nothing to provide.

Despite not having some of these documents, I got my approval today! One disappointing thing is that they put a note on my visa that it’s soft power/cooking class. Hopefully this won’t be a problem with immigration in the future 🤞🤞

I did get the visa so can’t really complain but I will say that contacting Issa Compass could be difficult at times. They would often not get back to me for hours or even days. They also apply for you through their own email so I never got any notice directly from the embassy. Not sure if this is normal for agents but I didn’t like it. Regardless though, they know what they’re doing and I’m glad I had support.

Hi, I’m on Non O 90-Day visa. I entered the country on November 19, opened a bank account on December 14. Starting which day at the immigration office, may I apply for the extension of my stay to one-year ??

What documents shall I bring with me ?? 🤔

I learned that even with the one-year extension of stay, one needs to pre-pay for re-entry to the country from an international travel during this year. And, I plan to visit my family in another part of Asia every 3 months.

Where may I pre-pay for re-entry to the country ?? 🤔

Million thanks and wish you the Best Year of 2026 ! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🍾🥂

Final Non O Marriage Visa stamp after house visit

Hello everyone,

On Saturday the IO officer came to my wife’s house and his colleague took 3 photos around house with him and us together.

He messaged my wife yesterday and said for me to come to the IO with at least 5 days left on my marriage visa that expires on dec 23.

I assume for my final acceptance stamp in my passport for the 12 month extension.

My question is do I need to take anything other than my passport?

Maybe they want another copy of my Bank book update from today to see my bank balance isn’t below 400,000 baht?

Thanks in Advance 🙏

Hello, has anyone recently applied for a Non-O visa in Hanoi, Vietnam? How long does the process take? Do they ask for additional documents, and what documents are generally required? Do they require a 3-month bank statement, or only a current balance on the date of application?
