Good morning, I applied on line a no immigrant ED visa at the embassy in Rome, at least eight days have passed but they are still processing the visa. Do you know how long it takes for approval? Thank you

Hello, everyone, I need some advice or suggestions, please.

My parents are Pakistani Citizens, and I wish to apply for their retirement visa once they reach Thailand.

The issue is that I have been told to apply for a Non-Immigrant O visa and then, once they land in Thailand, convert to a Retirement Visa.

Here is the problem now, when I see the Thai Embassy site here, it says "Retirement (Pensioners aged 50 or above with state pension who wishes to stay in Thailand for no longer than 90 Days)."

However, they do not get state pension. They have their own savings and retired individuals from private sector.

So, is it not possible to do tourist visa and then get an agent to convert to Non O and then retirement visa in Thailand.

Please suggestions would be highly appreciated thank you.

Question about traveling on soft power DTV:

Is there a limit on being able to leave Thailand particularly during your first 6 months on the visa? Because of course you’re supposed to be taking classes but it’s multiple entry?

My child is currently living in Thailand with a Non-O visa. Her passport will expire in May 2026, while her visa will expire on 28 January 2026. We plan to renew the visa around December 2025 or January 2026, but we will renew her passport around October/November 2025 before that. In this case, does the Non-O visa stamp need to be transferred to the new passport, or can we just keep it in the old passport and use both passports when applying for the extension?

Inside new passport, there is observation page that mentioned OLD passport information, does it enough to check old visa records for thai immigration?

I am living in Thailand on a DTV visa. I am getting close to my 180-day mark. What is the most hassle-free method to renew my 180days? Can I just do a border run? Recommendation/ advice welcomed :)

Hi All, Just submitted our application for the DTV :) For the 90 day reporting, we will be out of Thailand and back in the UK for 2 months during the time when we are supposed to report in, has anyone else got any experience with this? What do we do to report in after the 1st 90 days if we are not in Thailand? Thanks

Hi! My first 90-day report is due soon, but my landlord won’t handle the TM30, which is required. I’d like to hire an agent to assist with the 90-day report. Can you recommend a reliable one? I know landlords are legally obligated to report foreign tenants, but for convenience, I need an agent. Helpful info only, please. Thanks! Location: Chiang Mai
