Hi All, Just submitted our application for the DTV :) For the 90 day reporting, we will be out of Thailand and back in the UK for 2 months during the time when we are supposed to report in, has anyone else got any experience with this? What do we do to report in after the 1st 90 days if we are not in Thailand? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-day reporting requirement only applies if you have been in Thailand for 90 consecutive days. If you leave Thailand before reaching that duration, you do not need to submit a report, and when you return, the count resets. Therefore, if you will be outside Thailand for two months, simply do not worry about the 90-day report during that time.

If you understand why everyone has to file a 90-day report, you won’t have any doubts about it.
Immigration just wants to know if you’re still living at the same address or if you’ve moved. They need to keep track of people in case someone commits a crime or does something inappropriate in “Thailand”
The report is to notify immigration that you have spent 90 consecutive days in Thailand. If you’re not there, then obviously you can’t report that you are. Because you’re not.
You only report when you have been in Thailand for 90 consecutive days. If you leave before 90 days, you don’t need to report and when you come back in, the timer starts back at day 1.
No need to report if you are not in Thailand. You only need to report if you are in the country for 90 consecutive days. The clock resets each time you enter Thailand.
