Hi everyone,

I’m an Australian citizen currently working remotely in an IT role. I’m planning to apply for the new Digital Nomad (DTV) visa for Thailand — either directly myself or through an agent.

My goal is to continue my existing remote job while living in Thailand for an extended period. I’ve read through some of the official requirements but would appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through the process recently.

Is it generally a straightforward application if you’re already employed remotely by an overseas company?

Any tips on what documentation or approach worked best — especially regarding proof of income, tax obligations, and how to structure the application (DIY vs. through a visa agent)?

Thanks in advance for any guidance or first-hand insights!

Hello there.

I want to apply DTV (Muay Thai) through the Thai embassy in Indonesia. Is there a Thai consulate in Bali?

If not, Is it possible for me to book a hotel and stay in Bali and apply for a DTV visa at the Thai embassy in Jakarta?

Hello, I will be applying for DTV soon. Will I need to provide proof of a Thai address, TM-30, anything like this?

Also, if I apply in Hanoi embassy, does that mean I have to physically stay in Hanoi the entire time while my application is processing? Or I can I be anywhere in Vietnam while applying in Hanoi's embassy?

Thanks 🙏

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share my entrance to Thailand as I would read this group and I am a big worrier 🤣

Straight through at Bangkok, no questions. I handed my passport, A5 laminated DTV, my boarding pass and had my TDAC on my phone ready to show. We are from England and Mexico

I'll be working remotely from Thailand for 2-3 months. Given it's a relatively short stay, do I actually need a DTV visa? I'm going in a month so a bit wary if I apply now I may not get it in time

6 . Document indicating current location (e.g., valid visa, receipt(s)/proof(s) of payment of airline tickets or accommodation, etc.)

In this section. Is a valid visa sufficient? Can I attach a receipt from my previous hotel with dates from last week? My current hotel owner is unable to produce a receipt with all the names of my family members.

Hi everyone, has anyone applied for a DTV from California with a spouse and 2 children? I cannot find solid information regarding how much we need to have in our bank account for the 4 of us. My 2 kids are under 10 years old.

I see a few articles and blogs saying we need to show proof we have 500,000 THB for the primary applicant - but I also see some articles stating we will need to show proof that we have 2,000,000 THB for the 4 of us. Eek.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!

Question about financial requirements for non o guardianship logistics

Planning on non o guardianship visa for my wife and I, matched with student visas for our 2 kids. For the finances, do my wife and I need separate bank accounts or can we do a single joint account?
