Can I stay in Thailand with my DTV visa if my work contract ends and I no longer have an income?

I currently hold a Workcation DTV visa in Thailand, and my contract with my home-country company will end soon.

However, my DTV visa is still valid for another four years, and I would like to stay in Thailand during that time.

If I no longer have a regular income after the contract ends, will I still be allowed to continue staying in Thailand with my existing DTV visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the validity of their Workcation DTV visa after their work contract ends and if staying in Thailand without regular income is allowed. Responses indicate that while technically it may violate visa conditions, there is currently little enforcement, suggesting the user may be able to stay without issues.

Technically you’d be violating the conditions of the visa since you are no longer employed as a remote worker.

There isn’t much of a push currently to ensure that DTV holders are still “in status” upon entry so you can probably get away with it but obviously that may change with the ebbs and flows of Thai immigration enforcement.
