Hey guys,

I plan to apply through Hanoi embassy and have mainly two questions:

- Should the financial proof include 3 or 6 months in the past? I keep seeing both numbers here.

- I apply for freelancer purpose. I have at least two contracts but they are in German. Is a translation mandatory? (I also have a portfolio website in English but I'm not sure if this is enough)

The Double Taxation Topic - UK National

My business is registered in the UK, with my salary and taxes both paid in the UK.

I will remain more than 180 days per year in Thailand under DTV Visa.

Will I need to pay double Tax in both UK and Thailand?

Looking for simple straight forward answer, if it possible.

I have searched the group posts, but have not yet seen a clear answer to this question.

Has there been any cases of DTV visa holders being denied entry to Thailand at the Bangkok airports due to a long history of stays in Thailand? Ran a search and couldn’t find anything, which I guess is a good sign

What have people used for "Document indicating current location"? If you're going to a neighboring country to put the application through?

Hello!

I’m on an ED Visa currently which expires on 13 of January. My school sent me with cancellation documents to immigration division 1 with the claim that I need to cancel my ED visa before leaving Thailand.

I can’t understand why should I go through the trouble of commuting, waiting in line and wasting time just to cancel a visa instead of it being automatically expired once I leave the country.

Does anyone have any insight/advice? Will I be okay without cancelling my visa before leaving Thailand?

Thanks a lot!

Sorry quick question.

I leave my school in Bangkok on 10th January. The school HR have said that they will cancel my Non-B Visa and work permit on that date.

They said that I have 24 hours to leave Thailand and get a 60 day tourist visa.

Is that correct?

Thank you

Anyone have recent experience with obtaining a residency certificate at Suratthani Immigration? Is it same day or next day? I'm on Phangan where they only give 1 at a time and I need 2 for 2 different reasons.

Hi, Is that normal? I went to immigration in Pattaya to extend my marriage visa for another year after one year. She stamped my passport until the end of January and said that I would only receive the visa after the police had been in the building to visit us? Has anyone experienced the same thing?

Tutorial.

Before applying, check the web for ppl who successfully applied from the exact same situation as yours. often they share files they provided. use them.

the application site is tricky. you can't change it, you can't trick it.

so before you finally submit, you check each and every letter of your data.

the passport scan function is the direct way to being rejected. scan, and then check and mostly edit each field, so they match your passport.

deliver what they ask for. not more, not less.

have more money on your account than the equivalent of 500k baht. exchange rates change, and the process can last longer.

you can't appeal, you can't "talk to somebody". so be diligent, don't mess around. each pdf can only be one file. if you have more pages, ask google how to connect them.

ignore facebook groups. the amount of false and guessed info is tremendous.

finally: different nationalities have different levels of requirements. different countries may ask for different documents. so think twice where you want to apply.

Hi, I'm planning to apply for a Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) to enroll in a Thai culinary class. For the required funds, would it be acceptable if my boyfriend transfers a lump sum to my account? He's willing to provide a letter confirming that he gifted the funds to support my DTV application and culinary studies. Would this meet the requirements? Thank you
