Just a quick question on 500k requirement.

Applying from london

I understand it needs to be shown in accessible bank account not fixed savings or crypto etc

I have this money in an instant access savings account... so it is accessible. Would this be ok or would I need to withdraw into my checking account.

Might seem like a silly question just want to be prepared and thinking ahead.

Thanks in advance

Hey folks, I'm working on getting my DTV. I'm visiting Thailand Sep 15-30, so I'm using that trip as the basis for my visa application.

I have a remote work contract that ends Sep 19. They've told me verbally that they will extend it another six months, but I don't have that in writing (yet). I've asked them for it in writing, but if it takes them a while, do you think that will be a problem for my DTV application — i.e., that the Thai authorities will worry that I'll be looking for a job inside Thailand, because my contract has ended?

Thanks in advance!

I’m applying for the DTV workcation in Jakarta in the fourth week of August. For the online application’s hotel booking requirement, do I need to show a fully paid 2–3 week reservation? I plan to book and pay for about 2 weeks, then extend and pay as I go if processing takes longer.

Hi everyone,

I’m preparing my application for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) and wanted to ask for some advice regarding the financial proof.

I have a bank statement from Revolut covering the period from March 1, 2025 to August 9, 2025 with a current balance of €15,045.15 (well above the required 500,000 THB). The statement clearly shows my name, account details, and the balance history.

Question:

Will this bank statement be sufficient for the DTV application, or do I also need an official bank letter / balance confirmation from Revolut in English?

Thanks in advance for your help and experiences!

⚠️ Increased Entry Denials ⚠️

We have recently received more reports of travelers being denied entry at airports and land crossings. Most cases involve individuals who have entered Thailand multiple times or stayed for extended periods in 2025 without holding a long-term visa.

Our team offers a fast-track service with pre-screening and safe-entry support. This allows you to check in advance if you might face any issues, helping ensure smooth entry into Thailand and avoiding the inconvenience of being turned back.

Cost for these types of services range from ฿2,000 to ฿4,000 for most cases.

Sorry, once again. I just apply for a METV in the Vienna Embassy.

On different intertnetsides you can read that you can apply 3 month in advance before entering Thailand.

In this forum it was said, you have to apply very shortly before departure, because the 6 month start with getting the approval, so in this case you will have much less then the six months for staying in the country.....

What is wright?

Thank you!

Hey all, I am looking for an agent to assist with a 1-yr education extension for a child. The school will provide all necessary documentation. The ONLY reason I would like an agent is to avoid the hellish Government Complex, even though we live nearby in Nichada (impossible to park, rude and abusive treatment, long waits). We never need to visit immigration ourselves because we are on LTR, but the school forced us into an ED visa for our child. Any agent suggestions? I have contacted a couple but they didn't bother to reply.

My first 90 day report is on 24th Aug. I’d like to go in earlier, how many days prior to that date can I go in?

Edit: Cheers to those that answered. Sorted 👍

I have a tie retirement Visa which expires at the end of April 2026. I intend to return to Thailand this October 2025 to avoid the UK winter.

My UK passport expires at the beginning of October 2026. When I leave Thailand in April, there will be just under six months left on my UK passport.

I am aware that in Europe there have been passengers not allowed onto flights because they do not have six months left on their passport. Is this likely to be an issue for me

If there is any doubt I will take the easy route and renew my passport one year early and transfer the Thai retirement documentation to the new passport

Any helpful advice welcomed
