Hi everyone! šŸ‘‹

Has anyone applied for a thai tax ID or driving licence while on a DTV visa?

I already have a European driving licence, but not sure if DTV status is accepted for these..

If you’ve done it recently, could you please share which documents asked for especially in Phuket? šŸ™

I’ve heard some people couldn’t get the Certificate of Residence with DTV, so just wondering what worked for you to get tax ID and/or licences

Hi everyone

I have applied my DTV visa in Cambodia on the first week of October and still haven’t gotten the result yet. It’s been five weeks and I’m a bit worried that it might take longer due to the current situation between the two country. Should I send a follow up email to the Thailand embassy for a follow up? I’m afraid I’m might get rejected after a long wait.

I would just like to let everybody know who is planning to apply via the soft power DTV by enrolling on a one month couse to GO FOR IT.

I received allot of negative comments when I asked if this was wise and im pleased to say it was very wise and cost effective.

As long as you have the balance required in your account and fill out you application correctly you will have no issues at all.

Hi, I'm hoping for a bit of advice, please.

My wife and I have lived in Thailand for 3 years, utilising non o-a visa and extensions (retirement), we're both uk citizens.

Our extension was due at the end of September, however my wife had a major operation booked in the UK (following cancer) at the time the extension was due (we'd been waiting 4 years due to NHS wait times so couldn't rearrange šŸ˜ž).

We have re-entered thailand under visa free a few weeks ago and will return to UK on Dec 02nd for her to have a post operation checkup, coming back to Thailand on 07th Dec. We then have a trip booked to Vietnam to visit family 26th to 30th Dec, and intend returning to Thailand on 30th Dec.

My plan is to apply for an e-visa non-o while in UK (on 3rd Dec), return to Thailand visa free (but with e-visa pending) on 08th Dec.

Go to Vietnam as planned then on returning to Thailand on 30th Dec use the (hopefully) approved 90 day non-o e-visa, extending by a year when appropriate.

Sorry this is such a long message, does what I've written seem sensible and within the rules?

Many thanks

Probably been covered before, but couldn't find any information. I will be changing from a Retirement extension to a marriage visa next year. I will apply for a Non O based on marriage in UK before I come back, the detail i have.

I already retain 800k in my Bangkok Bank Account. I know I need 400k held for two months before I apply. Whilst all has been international transfers, it would probably require 2, maybe 3 years of bank statements to show evidence.

My question: Preferably experience from Phuket Immigration Office, but generally, experience is also useful. Do I need to provide evidence that the 400k has been recently transferred i to my account? Thank you

Hey all, I know this question has been covered a lot here, we have our dtv visa and ww have wise and Revolut and true money account. So we didn’t think we would need a Thai bank account since they are almost impossible to open. But our medical insurer Allianz has just told us we need a Thai bank account for reimbursement as since October 1st they no longer do it by cheque! Has anyone had any luck whatsoever of opening even a basic bank account here in Thailand on their dtv visa, either alone or through an agent? Many thanks in advance!

ā€œFinancial Evidenceā€ for dependents

Hello, I already have a DTV but wanted to apply for my wife + daughter & wanted to understand the ā€œFinancial Evidenceā€.

Is it sufficient to write a ā€œsponsor letterā€ stating I’ll be covering it cost & attach a bank statement showing that I’ve had 500,000 THB for the past 3 months or is the requirement going to be 1,500,000 THB (3 x 500,000)?

UK Visa free entry to DTV

Hi

I am flying to Thailand in January and plan to arrive using my 60 days free entry (tourist)

&& then flying out to apply for my DTV after the 60 days (might even extend to 90)

I have already asked if that’s ok and everyone replied yes, BUT when it comes to my application isn’t it going to flag that I have been working when I was in Thailand (on my tourist visa). As my invoices for my application will be within January-March

Will that show me breaking my tourist visa rules! ?
