Hi all, I need to find someone in Chiang Mai to certify some Australian documents so I can open an Australian bank account.

Chatgpt gave me the following options. Unfortunately the Chiang Mai Australian embassy is closed. Anyone know of someone who can do this for me?

If you are in Thailand and need to have documents certified for use in Australia, you typically need to find someone who is recognized under Australian law to perform this task. In many cases, documents certified overseas may require specific types of certifiers, such as:

Australian Consulate or Embassy Staff: Staff members at the Australian Embassy or Consulate can certify documents. They are familiar with Australian requirements and are often the most straightforward option when abroad.

Notary Public: A notary public in Thailand may be able to certify documents, but you should check with Macquarie Bank to ensure they accept foreign notaries.

Australian Registered Professionals Abroad: If there is an Australian lawyer, accountant, or other professional recognized by Australian bodies residing or working in Thailand, they may be able to certify documents.

Justice of the Peace (JP): If you can find a JP who is available and recognized, they might also be able to perform this task.

I am currently applying for my e-visa from Vietnam, where I am visiting. I have two questions. First, should I put my current address in Vietnam first, or my permanent residence address in my home country? Second, I am arriving in Thailand by train from Vientiane to Udon Thani. Which immigration checkpoint should I select: Fraternity Bridge 1, 2, 3, or 4?

I have the one year retirement visa. Am spending 6 weeks back in USA right now. I paid for multiple re-entries. When I return to Thailand, I know I need to get the TDAC. Do I need a TM 30?

Also if a friend or relative from USA visits me just for two weeks, do they need a TM 30?

I’m retired I’ve done AI search and it says there’s a little known about “purpose of visit” drop down section other than soft power and workcation, “financially independent” it says many retirees have made successful applications via this route. Is anyone else aware of this or successfully applied using this method please ? TIA

I've noticed that more and more people are getting rejected for soft powers in vietnam while my facebook page is getting flooded of sponsored pages that for 40-90k they offer a dtv all inclusive. All they claimed you need to do is to go to vietnam and take a pics of your entry stamp. I'm not talking about a single page, but dozens of sponsored pages offering the same. Are those scams?

Hello, I am planning to come to Thailand around November 10 as a retiree and settle in Hua Hin region. What is the deadline to get the 90 days visa if you apply online? Otherwise is it possible to take a tourist visa 60 days and once on the spot apply for long Stay retirement visa on the spot at the immigration office? Thanks for your good advice.

-------------
