Has anyone had this while applying for there DTV. I understood as long as you apply for it outside Thailand once you’ve applied you can in theory travel back into Thailand.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the misconception about traveling back to Thailand while waiting for a DTV visa application processed abroad. Participants agree that it is essential to remain in the country of application until the visa is approved, as going back to Thailand prematurely can lead to denial of the visa. Various comments illustrate differing experiences with embassy rules and highlight the importance of staying close to the consulate where the application was submitted.
The embassy in KL told me via an email that after submitting my application, I may in fact travel to Thailand, however if I am called in for an interview, it has to be done within 7 working days from the time it is requested.
No idea how you could have understood this the wrong way, it was discussed here many, many times and it is perfectly clear you have to stay in the area of jurisdiction of the embassy/consulate.
Different embassies applies the rules differently. UK and Vietnam for example expect you to stay there while your visa is processed. There have been exam0les of applications cancelled or requests to return to the country ie UK before visa issued.
More and more consulates are asking for this due to so many people trying to ignore the rules. Stay in the area served by the consulate you applied at until the process completes
Anonymous participant you need to stay in the UK until the visa is issued. Christmas and New Year is coming up but mid-January is still a month away; good chance they will issue the visa before then.
If they haven't and you do need to return to Taiwan, you can start over with a new application there. But I think they'll likely have a decision one way or the other by mid January, general reports and my own experience it doesn't take that long.
Mr 5 Bank Accounts would doing this give them a stronger chance to reject another visa application? I don’t really have a choice but return to work. I work 5 weeks on 5 weeks off but it’s not really 5 weeks off it’s 5 weeks to return back to work.
Анонімний учасник London embassy clearly request 6-8 weeks for visa application. 15 working days for each document uploading ( additional request = 30 working days to process! )
