What happens if a slow embassy doesn’t approve your DTV before the travel date?

Would I be allowed to enter Thailand on a Visa exemption and fly back out once it’s approved let’s say Vietnam and re enter on the DTV.

Is this allowed?

Hi everyone

does anyone here have experience with the DTV workation visa application?

Specifically in a case where the main applicant applied for a DTV (Workation) and the DTV Spouse visa was submitted at the same time, but the main visa has not been approved yet. Immigration is now already asking for the approved main visa for the spouse application.

Do you know how long they usually wait in such cases, or do they simply cancel/delete the spouse application if the main visa is not approved yet?

Also, does anyone have experience applying for the DTV visa through the consulate in Frankfurt?

Thanks a lot in advance! 🙏

Hello,

I would like to apply for a 5-year DTV visa for medical treatment. Could you please advise whether there are any hospitals in Pattaya that are authorized to provide the required medical treatment and issue the corresponding certificate? Additionally, I would appreciate information regarding the estimated cost.

Hello, could you please confirm whether this is accurate? The rules appear to be changing frequently.

Good evening all,

A 90 day report question:

What happens if one forgets to do the 90 day report on a Non-O retirement visa? (Finnish nationality, if that matters...)

Can it be done late (how late?) and does it cost something and if so, how much?

I have heard somewhere that the 90 day report is not even so important and nothing happens if one does not do it but that sounds "a bitt" strange to me...

Thanks in advance 👍

Question:

I’m here on a retirement visa (Non OA).

I get a renewal visa (1 yr) on January 5th of 2026.

My US passport expires on February 2027.

I have recently read on the Thai immigration site and checked with AI that if on a retirement visa the person must have 18 months remaining on the passport to get an annual visa extension.

I will only have about 13 months on my current passport when I submit for my January 5th 2026 visa renewal.

What is the experience of others here?

Extension (1st occasion of) of ‘Non O’ based on marriage.

Ahead of me physically going there (I guess I could attempt to 📞 call)

When is the soonest I can apply at the Sukhothai Immigration Office. I currently have 45 days remaining of non O. Too early?

Anyone go definitive?

Hi guys,

Is it possible to get a retirement visa while currently in the country on a tourist visa, without having a Non-O or a Thai bank account? Is the only option in this case unfortunately to leave the country and apply for the Non-O abroad?
