DTV Soft Power Visa - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

HUGE thanks to everyone here in the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) group for all the helpful info! 🙌

TIMELINE

* Mid March - Researched DTV categories, requirements, Muay Thai schools. Chose Wildcat Muay Thai (in Chiang Mai).

* March 26: Finalized details and paid for a 6-month course. Shout out to Meaw for answering all my questions! :)

* March 27: Received the required documents from the school for the Soft Power DTV application.

* March 28: Prepared supporting documents: cover letter, bank statements, proof of accommodation, etc. Decided to wait till April for my banks to produce the most recent, March account statement.

* April 1: Submitted my application (documents + fees).

* April 3: Received a request for updated financial proof (bank statements for the last 6 months) and explanation of how I’ll support myself. Sent the additional documents the same night.

* April 8: Status updated to “Pending Approval” (visible on the portal; no email notification).

* April 16: APPROVED! Received my visa as a PDF via email.

If I had to do it again - I would submit all 6 months of bank account statements AND the most recent month right away.

And in a case you're unemployed - definitely include a COVER LETTER explaining how you're going to support yourself.

Spouse Visa annual extension question: Does Chaengwattana (CW) Immigration accept the 40K baht monthly deposit from foreign account in lieu of the 400K banked money method?

Thought I would add to the list of those who have done border runs in recent history.

They are being detailed and to the letter going out as well as coming back.

The 2 day rule is in effect though going out the people inside the office said one day was fine, the officer inbound wouldn’t accept that answer without making a phone call. He made three phone calls in the course of giving me my exempt stamp.

So have EVERYTHING required and don’t play!

Preparing to apply for followers on my DTV (hopefully) in Ottawa. Any experience about what document to use for proof of children’s location? Since they don’t have drivers location, etc

Hello everyone, just got my DTV visa in Jakarta, however I’d like to travel to another country, maybe Korea, is it possible to come from another country than the one you got DTV or you have to be coming from the same country to get it ?

When entering Indonesia, they didn't stamp my passport. Instead, they issued a digital entry document. Is this what I use as the "document indicating current location" for the DTV application? Thanks.

I got married in December. I was on a 90 day O-visa. I want to be able to go to Thailand for 6months every year and spend 6 months back in USA. What's the best option for me? I was thinking marriage visa, is this my best option?
