It depends on the immigration office. The immigration office in Bangkok will only give you a Residence Certificate if you did a 90 days report. I heard in Pattaya it's also possible with a rental contract or sometimes even with a hotel booking. It also depends what you need the Certificate for. For example, if you want to open a bank account in Hua Hin, you can get the RC if you show them that the hotel notified them about your stay.

yeah, that's Swiss-bureau-crazy. Need to 'sign-out' in Switzerland and register at the embassy abroad. But because of some circumstances (insurance, taxes, ...) I can't 'sign-out' in Switzerland at the moment. So they can't not take me in the register in Bangkok and I can not get the document 😐
