I believe that if you submit your employment contract that states you can work remotely then you should be fine. They may ask for additional documents, but they may not.
Anonymous participant do you have a rental agreement in the country you are going to be applying from? I just used my Canadian driver's license because I applied while in Canada.
Ah yah, I gotcha. The wording is definitely up for interpretation.
Yes, my vipkid contract was sufficient. My visa was granted within 5 days. They did ask for a resume as additional documents though (I think they wanted to see how long I'd been employed because of the whole 6 months contracts thing)
just saw your profile and we have some stuff in common. I'm also Canadian and am employed by vipkid. I submitted my contract with them as proof of remote work. I applied at the Ottawa embassy
I think they mean submit it 2 weeks prior to when you want to travel to Thailand. So you go to the embassy 2 weeks before so they have time to process it prior to your intended travel dates to Thailand.
Anonymous participant to enter? You don't need to show anything except the DTV when you enter. You do need to provide the address and contact info of the accommodations you plan to stay in when applying for the visa though
So this requirement is more to prove you are physically in the country that you are applying from (more applicable for the evisa). I believe when applying in a neighbouring country you can show your entry stamp and booked hotel accommodations.
