TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the qualifications for medical treatments under the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) and Medical Visa in Thailand. Various comments stress the importance of checking with the specific embassy regarding their requirements, as these can vary significantly. Some participants mention examples of what has been accepted, like dental treatments, while others criticize the need for clearer inquiries to the relevant institutions.

I apologize for some ppl being so rude and antagonistic with their comments.

Absolutely no reason for it.

Apparently having good manners isn’t as common as it should be.

Admins should boot ppl who are so hateful because it can only have a negative affect on the entire group.

So, like Nero, you just like to watch Rome burn.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.

One participant got his DTV approved , using a Dental treatment from a Thai dental clinic. This participant said that , the appointments were for one dental work listed , and also added two other treatments further down the timeline for good measure. Uncertain which city he applied in , but not all Thai embassy would approve it . So like all those earlier comments, go check with the embassy which you will be applying from

Ask the relevant institutions. They now better. Here the replies blow like the wind.

Man, you're a nuisance. Ask your embassy, ask immigration. They all got websites. There you find all your answers🥱

If u don’t have any helpful information why not just scroll?

Geez, y can’t ppl have good manners?

Good manners is when new members to a group, search and find out that their question has been ask several times a day for the last month.

Shameful response that is patently wrong.

Common courtesy, decency and good manners dictates that you should never say something that you would not want said to you.

Calling someone stupid, or putting them down because they come from the USA is the antithesis of that.

This is basic knowledge that everyone already possesses.

If someone does the opposite of that, it is a malicious decision.

Isn’t it possible that some member has pertinent information about a question that has not yet been posted?

Of course it is.

Perhaps they could read the question and provide new information for the entire group.

Wouldn’t that help everyone?

What qualifies is what the embassy you will be applying at will accept. Each embassy sets their own requirements, you need to look at the website of the embassy where you will apply and see what that embassy says. Some might accept a single appointment with a doctor, while others might require proof of extended treatment plan. Every embassy is different and no one can answer what yours will or won't accept.

you can get a simple 3 months on a visa exempt and feel things out. I think you can than jump over to Laos or Cambodia to do a dtv later
Brandon ************
You're literally on the internet right now. You contact a doctor or hospital online in Thailand and schedule what you need.

But first you need to find out what the requirements will be. Check the website of the Los Angeles Thai Embassy.

Do I have to go to Thailand on a tourist visa and see a doctor and get the treatment plan and then fly back to the US to do the application process out of country?

you can book a treatment without actually physically being in Thailand.

typically your current doctor coordinates with your Thai doctor on a course of treatment in order to get a medical visa. You can't just apply for one blindly, with no recommended treatment plan already worked out with your doctors.
