he confirms it is unlimited 180 days per entry for 5 years with the possibility to extend each entry for another 180 days for 1900 baht. Upon re-entry there are no fees or requirements to show any supporting documents (just the DTV visa emailed when approved). Supporting documents are required for extensions though.
I mean you're right, standards vary from embassy to embassy, but I stated my experience. To be clear you said "plane ticket must be from the country you're applying in to Thailand" which I'm saying is not the case as it wasn't the requirement that I encountered.
no tickets need to be submitted for DTV application. Just the flight number and arrival date. I'm leaving my home country and spending multiple days in different countries before I fly to Thailand. The flight I provided is from Istanbul to Bangkok, but I received my DTV from an embassy in Canada.
