The way I understand the answers so far, if I have had 3 jabs here in the Land of Smiles (I have), I won't need a test before flying out (I will be flying to Australia). Is that correct?
ahh, that might explain why Immigration wanted me to change my “retirement fund account” from Kasikorn to Bangkok Bank when I renewed my Retirement visa in December. I’ve used Kasikorn for the past few years (on their recommendation), but suddenly this year they wanted it changed.
Thanks for that info. I asked because I read somewhere recently (and I may have misconstrued the article) that Thai banks were now accepting a maximum of THB50,000 per incoming transaction. I believe it was something to do with combatting money laundering.
Kanchanaburi (the movie Bridge on the River Kwai was based on events there) is fascinating - the Death Railway, war museum and war cemetery are tourist attractions. It’s worth a visit.
