Unfortunately the people who cheated the system by not having proper visas for many many years in the past ruined it for everyone nowadays. As long as there are people who think they can live in Thailand without a proper visa and take advantage of border runs, every tourist will be questioned once in a while by immigration authorities even if you haven’t done anything wrong. They don’t trust us anymore and I don’t blame them…

Every country has rules on how long a tourist can stay, no one complains about following rules in Europe, in East Asia, but somehow so many of you feel this entitlement to stay in Thailand as long as you want. “Who cares” Thai people care and those of us have proper visas care. Do things the legal way, just because you spend some money on Thailand doesn’t mean you can stay long term without a proper visa.

If you are going to be so defensive with people’s advice why bother post the question in the first place. Also ever heard of goggle translate? Learn proper English grammar or use a translation app.

knowing how many foreigners do abuse the system you should understand sometimes immigration officers are more suspicious and might give you a hard time. It’s nothing personal. Everyone has a bad day here and there, especially immigration officers. Nothing bad happened in the end, the post just sounds like a petty complaint.

So you got scolded by an immigration officer, big deal. Welcome to the real world, do you even have any idea what a Thai citizen has to go through just to visit a Western country.
