Thailand sucks, everything is up to the immigration officer who faces, and judges you at that time. Rules mean nothing. There is no fucking consistency or across the board system laws in place. Just smile alot, act stupid and hand out with money. If they are not happy, offer more. Dress respectable and never get angry. Enjoy your stay !!! All true

Thailand used to be an expats dream. Unfortunately it seems that in an effort to sell retirement and long term visas has taken over their peanut sized brains and as usual they have no conception of what is really good for their country and how to manage it. They want our money of course, then why do they make it such a hassle to take it? The current Monarch, one of the richest men in the world, BTW, lives most of the time out of country. Let's his own population fend for themselves basically and live in relative poverty. Prostitution is technically illegal but not enforced. Let the farang support the villagers but then make it complicated for them to stay, even if they have the financial means. I mean, what other country can you be posted for making a negative review online about a business? There are just too many alternatives for successful people to retire or visit. The kingdom used to be nirvana. Now, not so much. Ruler too busy with all his mia noi and having them lay at his feet. Just my opinion... No hate, enjoy the kingdom... I just like to visit and go home
