I carry my kids birth certificates, Copy of marriage certificates, copy of wife's ID, address etc every time. As well as having the NON O visa.

I always thought an emergency travel document only allowed you to travel back to your home country

Shouldn't be an issue. Leave the USA on the applicable passport and Enter Thailand on the applicable passport. That's it....

All submitted and pick up tomorrow at 14:00 hopefully.

Lack of experience doing this, but we arrived to the bridge at about 7:40am and got touted by a pick up truck/taxi to take us to a different office to take a picture of my daughter for her border pass the bring us back to the bridge to pass immigration and he assisted/escorted us through the immigration desks etc, took us directly to the consulate, assisted showing us where to get the form (as I didn't have mine printed) waited outside the consulate for 45mins and then dropped us to the hotel.

Now sat enjoying a beerlao whilst the missus has her afternoon nap 😡

So arrive at 07:45. Cruise through the checkpoint. Tuk Tuk to the consulate hand in the paperwork before 11:00 and collect the next day. Simple as that?

Hi all, so I'm in Mukdahan now.

The hotel informed us that the bridge doesn't open up until 08:00.

Is this one of those scenarios that I'd have to be there super early to get across in time to make it to the consulate in Savannakhet?

What do you recommend?
