If I have a one year multi entry non imm O based on marriage to a Thai, is it possible to get an extension of stay based on supporting my half Thai children?

As well as being the father on the birth certificates and them all having my name I also have the documents from the courts naming me as a legal guardian.

If it possible what are the requirements for the extension? Banked money etc.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can extend your stay in Thailand with a multi-entry Non-Immigrant O visa based on being the legal guardian of your half-Thai children. The financial requirements for this extension are similar to those for a marriage visa, specifically requiring either 400,000 baht in a bank account or a monthly income of 40,000 baht. However, extensions based on raising half-Thai children do not have the 2-month seasoning requirement for the banked money that marriage extensions do. Documentation, including birth certificates and court orders naming you as the guardian, will be necessary. It's recommended to check with your local immigration office for any additional requirements.

Actually the financial requirements for a yearly extension based on marriage to a thai and raising a half thai child are exactly the same 400K baht or 40K baht a month in income using the embassy notary. The difference is marriage extensions require 2 months seasoning for using the 400K baht banked money and extensions based on raising half thai children do NOT require the 400K baht to be seasoned. Other than that it's virtually the same mountain of paperwork, photos, etc. The application will go under the same 30 day consideration before you go back and get the year extension inked into your passport

Im guessing you're now legally divorced from your wife. It is possible to get a 1 year extention of stay based on being the legal guardian of your Thai child, check with your local immigration office for the requirements, I think they're pretty similar to the requirements for the extention based on marriage

Okay cool. Thanks

Steven Lofthouse I think they're actually more. Plus I think your marriage over-rides getting the extention based on legal guardianship

I thought I'd read the requirements, such as banked money or monthly income were much less for the extension based on having children. That's basically why I was asking the question. Either way I seem to have two options.

Then you'll get the extention of stay based on marriage

You guessed wrong. I got the legal rights before I got married this year.

Yes it is possible, Here the requirements, but your local office can add some requirements to go early of visit them for the hand out before you're going to apply:
