Hi all. Just wondering from the guys who have obtained Multi Non Imm O visas from Savannakhet recently. Do you need to have the marriage certificates translated and MFA stamped?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation addresses the requirements for obtaining a Multi Non Imm O visa in Savannakhet, particularly regarding marriage certificates. It appears that if the marriage is registered in Thailand, the Kor Ror 2 and Kor Ror 3 certificates suffices without needing translation or MFA stamping. However, one user mentioned using a German marriage certificate translated by an official translation office without issues. Moreover, once the visa is obtained, no re-entry permits are needed, and holders can enjoy unlimited entries, with a new 90-day stamp issued upon each entry.

Would not hurt

There is no requirement for that, so it wouldn't help either :/

Next question from me. Once I've got the multi Non Imm O, do I need to buy re-entry permits with this visa?

I think Todd will confirm but you don't have to do a 90 day report with a multi O only leave and come back...good wishes for your up coming wedding :-)

@Ste***
, it's unlimited entry and you get stamped in for 90 days every time you enter (y)

Luckily or unlucky depending which way you look at it, I'll be in and out for work constantly so I'll never have to do a 90 day report. I'll be in and out every 3 to 6 weeks.

nope, if you're getting that visa in Savannakhet it'll be a year-long, multi-entry Non-O.

When you enter you'll get stamped in for 90 days, then every 90 days you stamp out of thailand, stamp in&out of another country, then back into thailand to get another 90 day stamp. You do this for the validity of the visa itself (one year from the date of issue) ..

I always use my Marriage certificate from Germany, Translated by a legal translation office and certificated by the German Embassy in Bangok ( 21 years ago ) never had a problem.

@Tod ********
Every 15 month in Savannakhet to get my new Non - Immigrant - Visa based on marriage.
Tod *********
Are you using that to get yearly extensions of stays at the immigration office INSIDE thailand or to buy a year-long, multi-entry Non- O visa at a thai consulate OUTSIDE of thailand?
Tod *********
Nope, you'll get two marriage certificates a Kor Ror 2 and a Kor Ror 3 when you register your marriage at the local Amphur.

Take copies of the front & back of those AND the original one with the rose border (so they can feel the embossed stamp on it) along with signed copies of your thai wife's i/d and house book listing.

This is what the Kor Ror 2 & 3 look like

@Ste***
, the best of luck. You probably already know, but, it's good to be forearmed as to what the Amphur will want. In my case, I was told I needed the Village 'head man' as one of the witnesses & they also wanted the bio data in my passport translated & 'stamped' at Chaeng Wattana, however, as I said, every Amphur is different. Let us all know how the visa process goes at Suvannakhet if you get there before the 11th. Thanks.

Brad Wilson Thanks

@Ste***
, I'm off to apply for the same visa at Suvannakhet on the 11th of this month (all my docs are already in order). I'll report back on how the process goes when I finish it up on the 12th. All the best.
