Its that time of year again for me. The annual trip to Savannakhet for a Multi Entry Non Imm O based in marriage.

Have the required documents changed at all? I believe now 400K baht is required to be seasoned for 2 months?

- Savannakhet specific applciation form

- Two passport photos

- 5000 THB application fee

- Copy of rose-bordered marriage certificate, both sides, signed by wife and me

- Copy of Kor ror 2, both sides, signed by wife and me

- Copy of wife's Thai ID signed by her

- Copy of wife's housebook signed by her

- Copy of my passport biodata page signed by me

- 400K baht in bank statements

I'd also like to ask if the same visa is available at Vientiane Loas with the same requirements. I used to used Savannakhet as the 400K banked funds was not needed, but Vientiane is much closer.

They totally DO issue year/multi-Non-O visas based on marriage to a thai at Savannakhet. (y)

They NEVER had it listed on their website.

The documentation you mention is correct, jus book an appt, go and apply, pay and wait the processing time to get the passport back.

write year/multi on the application at the top right and give them 5000baht

, Savannakhet issues multiple entry Non-O based on marriage. They have never put the information for multiple entry Non-O based on marriage on their website. We haven't heard any recent (days oder) change there.

correct, it's not shown in the website which doesn't seem to have been updated since 2019 and another in 2022. I've had several multiple entry visas from there since 2019.

I hoping someone can confirn if they recently managed to get a Multi from there.

and you got a year long, multi-entry Non-O visa based on marriage to a thai from the thai consulate in Jakarta? When was this, were you required to show proof of funds? ?

Yes sir.

Non O multi entry based on marriage to a Thai.

The visa was issued to me on 20 May 2024.

I did include proof of funds, my UK bank statement was fine.

An additional document to the requirements in Laos was a sponsor letter signed by my wife.

This basically said my name and that we are married.

No appointments needed, when it’s done they call you for colllestion.

No queues.

It took 4 days for approval, this was fine as I was staying in Indonesia for 4 weeks.

Out of my applications for this same visa in Vietnam, Laos, UK and Indonesia, and also an extension of stay in Thailand Jomtiem, (I think that’s the name of the visa issued in Thailand) Jakarta was simple.

Not one question asked.

that is great to know (y) Thank you for that, now at least there's another consulate people can apply for the year/multi marriage Non-O visa and can use proof of funds in their country not banked in a thai bank

Yes, you need 400K baht in a thai bank now at Savannakhet.

I don't think Vientiane issue multiple entry Non-O marriage.

Remember, you need an appointment at Savannakhet now.

The follow consulates are still walk up consulates (they will not be changing to eVisa at this time) BUT you need to book an appt online to get in the gate
