Thank you Shauny for your follow-up message. As we all know different offices handle things a little differently at times so if anyone else asks the same at other locations, hopefully they will share their experience also. Thanks again.👍
Please report back on what you find out on this particular situation. I have always wondered about this rule if you are on an extension of stay based on being over 50. It seems to me as kind of a grey area and I would be interested on the results of your inquiry. Thanks.
Not always, I flew Delta back in late June. When checking in to fly back to Bangkok (I am on an extension) they didn't ask to see anything except my passport first page. I even asked if they wanted to see the extension and they said it was not needed. I thought it was weird also because I have been asked to see it in the past.
Francis, may I ask what time you arrived there this morning? Was it before or after the doors opened to get in the building. Just wondering as I am making a trip there soon also.
Thanks Tod for the heads up. Just as a follow up, I am still wondering if I have a nicely printed sheet off of Google Maps, that shows my building, adjacent streets and general neighborhood, that would not be sufficient? They would still require a hand drawn one? I always have that in my folder anyway when I get my extensions but have never been asked for it. It is actually better than I could draw one. Thanks.
Have you done one in person yet at the Immigration office you report to? What office do you report to? Did you use the drop down boxes if available? Only fill in the required spaces marked with asterisks. These may help.
I am not aware of an exact time limit to transfer an extension of stay stamp into a new passport I believe it is more of in a timely manner unwritten rule. If you go to the Immigration office to do your 90 day reports you could do it then which would be best. Or probably even wait until you do your extension in October. But as far as having to do it tomorrow, no. It is also a free service to transfer your stamps.
