Bangkok Chaengwattana Immigration office. It was recently reported that before the building opens, people are self queuing on the outside. Is this at the main entrance (Soi 7) of the building out-front, or the entrance on the south end closest to the Immigration office itself, or both? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
At the Bangkok Chaengwattana Immigration office, people are reported to queue outside before the building opens, specifically at the southern entrance door, which is closest to the immigration office. The main building (Complex B) opens at 6 AM, and queueing begins outside at the southern entrance. Once inside, individuals are given a queue number to manage the process.

Ok, thanks Tod for your reply. I saved your original message but it did not indicate the outside queuing was at the southern entrance door (the door closest to the immigration office) and I just wanted to be sure which one in case I get there before they open. Thanks again.

Ok, got it. Wow, and thanks again. I bet the agents love that.

That was BEFORE they put up a sign on the temporary queue machine that says 1 person 1 ticket. ;)

... This is from your original thread...Quote: Now you can't even get into the building until 6 in the morning so people queue up outside. At 6 they let us in and we get into a queue that has stanchions to make sure people don't cut the line.

At 7 and immigration officer comes out and opens a temporary queue number machine and hands them out based on where you are in the line. Even though I was 28th in line I got queue number 66 and 67, because the agents that are here can ask for multiple queue numbers for their customers.

When I wrote it they still were letting people in any time you got there and hadn't gone to the no entry until 6 policy :/

Okay I made a post about how it works a while back when they went to the new system.

You can't get into the main government complex building B until 6 AM. If you sneak in another entrance the guards will kick you out.

Before 6 you queue up outside at the southern entrance door (the door closest to the immigration office).

At 6 they open the door and scan you in with your passport or some form of i/d. Then you queue up behind the stanchions in order until 7 when an immigration officer comes out with a queue ticket printer and hands out numbers. You can get ONE ticket per person (to stop the agents from getting 10). Then you can leave until 8 when you line back up in order and that's how you get into the immigration office when they open the doors at 8:30. ALL the people with queue numbers enter in order and then people without queue numbers get in.

Remember once you get in you still need to go to the queue ticket counter inside and get a queue number for the section you need.
