You could also contact an agent and let them deal with the details regarding the children and the visa options that that implies. No insurance is required for the renewal on a Non 'O' visa.

Yes of course BUT you have to do it through the Embassy. Fast service. All done online and EMS mail. Turn around time with no flags on your field... 4 to 6 weeks but can be less (though no expedite service overseas). Follow online directions to the letter. Easy!

depends upon what services you need. Non O + Multi entry permit + 90 Day Reports + whatever " help".... could be right. All depends upon requests made. I know they are a great firm.

Will I have issues bringing DVDs, CDs, and tools to Thailand during my visit in April and later moving there?

But a DVD player here online through Lazada. Cheap and easy. Sure, a Chinese product... but for the price... why not. I had the same problem. My Thai bought old one (Otto brand) after 7 years died. New one is working just fine and even gives me a USB port... why I need one I have no idea....
