I started on a marriage visa and then switched to retirement, no problem at all, Brit embassy usually gets your documents back to you in 3-4 days, even though the website says up to 10 working days.
Not a chance in hell. Working at check-in and operations where??. I guess before he worked in this capacity in the UK. The problem is (as he should know) that Airlines recruit in house and send staff where needed on a lowest cost basis.
Samut prakan immigration website asks for the following List of documents for Retirement Visa
1. Visa Extension Form (TM.7)
2. Passport or Travel Documents
3. Non-Immigrant Visa
4. Letter from Thai Bank certified money in Thai account more than 800,000 Baht 3 months before and ATM slip on date of application OR
5. Income or Pension have to certified by The Embassy or Consulate in Thailand and show income more than 65,000 Baht/month. I also fill in the three forms (overstay, statement & terms).
If you are asking about getting a letter of confirmation regarding your pension or monthly/yearly income, then they only do this by mail now. (or they did last year) Download the form and the payment form (if you are paying by credit card). fill them in and attach your proof of income. send by EMS and check the box for return by EMS. it usually takes a few days only.
