When I apply for my next extension of stay, is there a minimum validity requirement on my passport ??. ie, My current extension of stay expires in September, so I would normally go and reapply 30 days prior to this in August. But my current passport expires in October.
TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a visa extension in Thailand, there is a minimum validity requirement for your passport. Extensions are issued based on the remaining validity of your passport; therefore, if your passport expires soon (like in October), it's advisable to renew it before applying for the extension, as extensions cannot extend beyond the passport's expiring date. Renewing a UK passport can take about a month, and the authorities usually add the remaining time from the old passport to the new one.
